This workshop is an introduction to the use of social media in independent practice. It will encourage you to engage with social media and explore various opportunities for making use of them.
Topics to be covered include:
- Maintaining a safe online identity
- Attracting clients
- Using technology such as video to engage and interact with clients
- Operating a business with an online component
- Setting up and using Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ and YouTube accounts
- Being able to distinguish between personal and business elements
- Understanding issues related to integrating with websites and email
- Producing content, including blogging
- Doing online marketing, including the use of online booking and payment systems
Presenter
Brian Pope is a BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist who works with adults and uses social media in his private practice. He has developed Lincs Therapy, an approach that uses blended learning to help therapists develop skills for the evolving digital world.
